SendText Not Supported

I'm trying to send the "o" key through the Kodi driver via IP to bring up Player Process Information on my Ugoos box running CoreElec.

Looking at the available Kodi commands in the driver there is a Sendtext function that looks like it would do exactly what I want, but it says "not supported."  Is there any reason this isn't supported?

I was hoping for this functionality as well.  With Kodi, you can edit the keymap file and make any key send any command.  Combine that with the ability to send a keystroke from the remote and you can do anything.

Exactly. I tried using the undocumented test function and that didn't seem to work either.

Bumping this, as it has become more important to me.

I finally got my TV antenna installed at the new house and I use a HDHomerun tuner and Kodi to watch live TV.  I need to create buttons for displaying the Guide and the list of Recorded TV shows.  If SendText worked, I could do this.

In the Kodi driver command builder there is a SendText command defined. Does it not work? Post a little of the verbose event log if you can as I don't run Kodi here.

Sorry for the delay in replying.  With the new forum, I no longer see a list of recent posts, nor can I view the summary of my posts.  I have to track down the thread manually to check for a response.

The problem is in the command builder itself.  You can select SENDTEXT, but the only option under Command is "Not Supported".  The Actual Command also just says "Not Supported".

Also, when I turn on Verbose logging in the Kodi Driver, the same messages repeat over and over in the log.  (Note that I have two devices running Kodi.)
