Not aware there are any issues with transport controls with V2.
The transition back, I think you just recreate your devices in V1 and disable the V2 driver.
But I would be looking closer at your use of the V2 driver to ensure it's not something else.

Transport controls do work. Use the driver's command builder to test the transport controls while verbose logging is turned on. Post a snippet of the log so i can see it.

Here is the log:

18/10/2026 11:40:58.40 · DEBUG · Server.doCommand - AV|{{active_shieldtv_{{clientname}}}}~SendKey~Media_STOP from sr1
18/10/2026 11:40:58.40 · DEBUG · Server.doCommand - AV|2~SendKey~Media_STOP
18/10/2026 11:40:58.40 · DEBUG · Android.doCommand - Cmd=[2~SendKey~Media_STOP] Client=[sr1]

18/10/2026 11:46:02.46 · DEBUG · Server.doCommand - AV|{{active_shieldtv_{{clientname}}}}~SendKey~Media_Play_Pause from sr1
18/10/2026 11:46:02.46 · DEBUG · Server.doCommand - AV|2~SendKey~Media_Play_Pause
18/10/2026 11:46:02.46 · DEBUG · Android.doCommand - Cmd=[2~SendKey~Media_Play_Pause] Client=[sr1]

The commands are being sent.  There are no errors.  The media just keeps playing.  Pressing the corresponding button on the Shield remote works as expected.

I did not have this problem with the old driver.
